Hours that rise and fall with the rest of your week

Four employer briefs for people who cannot promise the same five days every week. You set the tide line; the roster stays inside it.

Open briefs

Four openings, four separate employers

Each tile is one brief exactly as the employer wrote it. Pick the one that matches the week you actually have rather than the one you wish you had.

About WorkTide

Written for weeks that are never the same twice

Plenty of remote listings quietly assume a steady Monday-to-Friday. Ours do not. Every brief we take on has to survive the question “what happens when this person can only do two days next week” before we agree to publish it. Employers that cannot answer that go elsewhere.

The process

Four steps, each one shorter than the last

1

Send the form

Your name, the hours you can cover, and which of the four briefs you are answering.

2

Message our HR team

They send the full employer brief on WhatsApp so nothing is decided from a summary.

3

Do the online training

Roughly two hours with the employer, and the notes stay with you afterwards.

4

Set the tide line

You nominate the blocks; the employer confirms them in writing and works inside them.

Applicant notes

Sent back after a few weeks in

“Some weeks I can give five blocks, some weeks one. Nobody has treated the light weeks as a problem.”

Delia — Maryborough

“I went in expecting to be sold something. Instead I got the brief, read it, and made up my own mind.”

Warrick — Castlemaine

“The checklist work is the calmest paid thing I have done. That is worth more to me than a bigger number.”

Meredith — Bendigo

Questions

What people want cleared up first

Will no experience count against me?

It will not. Every brief here was written for someone who has never done this, and the employer trains you first. Availability is the thing that gets screened.

Can my hours change week to week?

Yes, and that is the point of the site. Nominate what you can do, tell the same HR contact when it shifts, and the roster follows. No brief carries a weekly minimum.

What do I need at home?

A working computer, internet that stays up through a block, and a quiet corner. None of the four involve phone calls, so a headset is optional.

How long is the training?

Around two hours, online, run by the employer, with written notes you keep. Most people work with those notes open for the first week and that is expected.

Who pays me?

Whichever employer took your application pays you, following whatever cycle their payroll runs on. WorkTide introduces you and takes nothing out of your rate.

Is anything charged to me?

No, at no stage. If someone using our name asks you for money, a password or banking details, stop and email the contact address below.
